DANIELLE LOWE
GLOBAL’S WOMAN OF VISION
MONDAY, DECEMBER 5
Our Danielle Lowe continues on a fiery path.  She was contacted by Lesley MacDonald this week and was notified that she is Global’s Woman of Vision for December, 2011.  This is one of Edmonton’s most prestigious awards of recognition.  Global Edmonton is committed to exposing our community to the talents, successes and great achievements of women who have made a difference in the community and in their field.  The Woman of Vision board, chaired by Lesley MacDonald, operates in co-operation with Global Edmonton. The members are representative of a diverse group of women from their community that adjudicate nominations and select women to be featured in this monthly television series.  There is also an annual luncheon that honors the 12 Women of Vision from the previous year.  Lesley noted that Danielle has been considered in the past, but this was definitely the year of her selection after reviewing her extensive work in the community.  Danielle has truly been a hard working role model of philanthropy and community-mindedness beyond reproach.  She will be featured on Global on Monday, December 5, in a special television segment and then will be awarded the distinction at the annual gala luncheon next March.  Amazing, Danielle.  Congratulations!

In a new format at Rexall, Sean was able to perform a couple of songs on the first intermission stage to entertain the crowds at Rexall.  Sean must have been good luck as the Oil Kings beat the Tigers 3-0.  As a result, Sean has been invited back to sing the anthem in two weeks!  Congrats, Sean.
After an amazing evening in support of the homeless at his CD Release, Sean Sonego releases the first single from the EP with the song as the same title as the CD.  It’s the touching single entitled “In The Heart” and was shot and produced by his good friend Justin Brunelle who you may recall also produced his tongue-in-cheek video, Lazy Song.

        SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19
Thanks to three of our artists that will perform throughout the weekend to support the 1st Annual Leduc Festival of Trees.  Other studios have agreed to join us and fill in spots throughout the weekend including Visionary College and Cooper Studios.  This is our first real holiday event and we are looking forward to a great weekend of entertainment.  Thanks, everyone!
Daylin Jorgensen is back on YouTube on fire.  She delivers the awesome cover from Miranda Lambert entitled Baggage Claim.  And dad, Ray, shoots tonnes of footage from the Edmonton International so that we can put together this cool video.  Even with the neat video in front of your eyes, be sure to turn on your ears and listen to how great Daylin is with her vocals and guitar.  Enjoy!
